Located near Chinatown and the Central Business District, the hotel sits amongst pre-war (WWII) double storey shophouses.
The rooms are very well appointed with pastel colored walls and European themed furnishing. Some rooms are irregularly shaped due to the original floor plan.
A deluxe French restaurant, reputed to be one the best in Singapore-L''Aigle d''or.
The hotel occupies former shophouses built before the second world war in typical Chinese style design but immaculately restored to its former splendour. The surrounding is quaint and served by a busy narrow street lined with upmarket offices and pubs.
As can be expected in a historical boutique hotel, the lobby is small but cosy with european style furnishing.
Due to its location and pricing, it is an experience in itself to stay in one of these refurbished shophouses. Chinatown is about 10 minutes walk away and there is no shortage of nightlife from the pubs around. SG 03/05
